The project

Over 120 jurisdictions in the world now have a system of competition law in place. Yet this diversity tends to be overlooked in international debates. There is an (unspoken) consensus as to the “usual” competition authorities we turn to for inspiration. Yet, with such diversity of systems and approaches, it seems likely that other systems have can contribute to the conversation on the further development of competition law, with inspiring ideas and inventive practices.

Different regional chapters of ASCOLA have come together to explore the lessons we can learn from each other, for the further development of competition law and its enforcement.

The main objective of the project is to create spaces of discussion on what different jurisdictions, through scholars and competition authorities, can learn from each other's experiences.

One of the main activities planned is a series of webinars that  will explore the goals, institutional arrangements, priority setting, advocacy and competition culture awareness development by various competition authorities around the globe.
